Tina Roche MBA – Chief Executive
Tina established two organisations in 2000, The Community Foundation for Ireland and Business in the Community Ireland. Both have proved successful and impactful and now employ over 60 staff. Tina has an MBA from IMI/Fordham and has many years business experience having worked in various roles as Financial Controller, Company Secretary and Head of Development. Her main interests are in philanthropy, human rights, education, community activism, corporate responsibility and sustainability. Tina has been recognised for her work ranging from winning Tatler’s Public Life Award, shortlisted for the Women Mean Business awards to being named in the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behaviour by Trust Across America™.
Jackie Harrison- Head of Development
Prior to joining The Community Foundation for Ireland in 2010, Jackie was Chief Executive of Philanthropy Ireland from 2007 and previously held a number of senior roles in the Irish Business and Employers Confederation, including Director of Social Policy. A former Director of the Ireland France Chamber of Commerce she was nominated as Chevalier in the Ordre National de Mérite in October 2001. She was an Executive Board member of Inter Trade Ireland 2000-2007, a Board member of the Digital Hub 2000 to 2009 and is currently on the Board of Young Social Innovators. She was awarded an M. Litt (Master in Letters) in June 2014 by Trinity College for her research dissertation “Towards building an understanding of female philanthropists in Ireland”.
Niall O’Sullivan – Fund Development Adviser
Niall O’Sullivan has been working in fundraising and philanthropy since 1999. In this time he has worked for an NGO, consultancy and university and was with The Community Foundation for Ireland for five years before establishing his own business. He returned to The Community Foundation in 2016 and remains passionate about the potential to grow philanthropy in Ireland. Niall is married with two kids and in his spare time cycles and swims – he has been a regular Liffey Swim participant over the last decade and more.
Helen Beatty – Senior Grants and Donor Services Executive
Helen Beatty joined the organisation in 2007. She has a Masters Degree in Equality Studies from UCD. Helen is particularly interested in Social Justice issues, Early Childhood Development, and the advancement of Irish Philanthropy. Helen works with some of our most strategic donor advised funds to help them channel their giving effectively.
Adele McNamara – Grants and Donor Services Executive
Adele works within the grants team as Grants and Donor Services Executive managing funds ranging from corporate to family and individual funds as well as working with a number of grants programmes within The Foundation. Adele has worked for many years within the community sector working across a variety of areas including social support and advocacy. Adele holds a BA in History and Classics and a First Class BA Honours Degree in Psychology.
Sara Stokes – Grants and Donor Services Executive
Sara is an experienced researcher with degrees in Sociology and Arts Policy, and a PhD in Gender and Equality Studies. She has worked in the area of grant making and policy analysis for almost a decade and has worked across a wide range of public agencies including the Sustainable Energy Authority, the Public Appointments Service, The Arts Council and the Department of the Taoiseach. Her role with The Community Foundation allows her to pursue her interest in equality and community development while ensuring that the Community Foundation’s donors are nurtured and supported in their philanthropic endeavours.
Hazel Hill – Marketing Executive
Hazel is the Marketing Executive here at The Foundation and manages Youth Funding and our Youth Grant Making Panel the YPP. Hazel has a first class honours degree from Dublin City University in Contemporary Culture and Society and is currently undertaking her Msc in Applied Social Research at the University of Ulster.
David Bockmann – Grants and Donor Services Executive
David, a native German speaker, has an Honours B.Sc. in (Mgmt.) Management & Marketing and joins the Grants and Donor Services team with a background in Customer Service Management, Procurement and Charity Software Licensing.

Qaasim H Abdul – Head of Finance and IT
Qaasim holds a Degree in Accounting and Banking, is ACCA qualified and holds a Certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship and Governance from the Law Society of Ireland. Prior to joining, Qaasim has held a number of finance positions in the Charity sector in the Homeless and Young People services. Qaasim is actively involved in the community on a wide range of projects and activities on a voluntary basis. He has a passion in education and currently sits on a number of school boards.
Tom Wallace – Management Accountant
Tom is a Chartered Accountant with experience in Audit Practice and in the Manufacturing/FMCG sector. Tom is Management Accountant for Business in the Community Ireland and The Community Foundation for Ireland with responsibility for producing regular financial Information and reports and dealing with requirements of funders.
Eileen Curran – Receptionist/Admin Assistant /Health & Safety Officer
Eileen works for both Business in the Community Ireland and The Community Foundation for Ireland. Her role in both organisations covers reception, administration, facilities and Health & Safety. She is a qualified Occupation Health & Safety Officer and is responsible for all policies, procedures and training in this area. Eileen studied Hotel Management and is responsible for the day to day running of all facilities.
Moira Horgan – Marketing Manager
Moira joined as Marketing Manager in February 2007. She works with both our organisation and sister organisation Business in the Community Ireland. Prior to joining, Moira was Head of Marketing at the Irish Film Board, Ireland’s national film funding agency and was responsible for raising the profile of the Irish film industry both nationally and globally. Moira has over 20 years’ experience in marketing; specialising in communications, event management and PR. She holds a BA in International Marketing and Japanese from DCU.
