Energia Meenadreen Community Benefit Interim Fund
The Energia Meenadreen Community Benefit Interim Fund has been established to support community based projects that make a difference for people in Meenadreen, County Donegal and that provide added benefit to the local community. Applications for the Fund are being sought from organisations in the area.
Purpose of the Fund:
The fund will allocate grants to groups or organisations who are focussed on community development within the specified geographical area below who are addressing one or more of the following priorities:
- Projects that will promote community development and will positively impact and benefit those that live in the local area
- Projects that focus on the education and awareness of healthy eating, specifically developing community food initiatives such as allotments and vegetable gardens
- Projects that promote teamwork and engagement with the community in responding to the opportunity presented by the Community Fund
- Community safety projects
- Projects promoting energy efficiency or aim to reduce energy consumption and raise energy awareness
- Projects that demonstrate excellence
- Project addressing sustainability of energy or the delivery of an important community service
Who can apply
The Fund is open to community, voluntary and charitable organisations who believe they have a project that meets the criteria and are based within proximity of a 7.5km x 5km corridor centred along the length of the N15 road (the geographical boundary is clearly mapped in the fund criteria which can be downloaded below)
These should be local, community-based groups who wish to develop projects with a specific focus on one or more of the abovementioned priority areas. As we will not consider applications which do not meet the stated criteria, we strongly recommend that you read the criteria before deciding to complete the application form.
