The Chello Foundation (Ireland) Fund was set up in October 2009 by communications and broadband provider UPC. Its focus is on providing funding for educational scholarships to children affected by HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa. Launch of 2008 Annual Report
The Community Foundation for Ireland has launched its 2008 annual report. Among the 2008 highlights were: An increase in the permanent endowment fund to almost €23million Grants of almost €1million made 455 projects supported among charities across Ireland and even overseas 11 new funds established. Report on Family Philanthropy
A new report on family philanthropy in Britain was recently launched. ‘Natural Philanthropists: Findings of the Family Business Philanthropy and Social Responsibility Inquiry’ fills a much needed gap in an area which has been under-researched. The report was prepared for The Community Foundation Network and The Institute of Family Business.
