The Community Foundation for Ireland has launched its 2008 annual report. Among the 2008 highlights were: An increase in the permanent endowment fund to almost €23million Grants of almost €1million made 455 projects supported among charities across Ireland and even overseas 11 new funds established. A new report on family philanthropy in Britain was recently launched. ‘Natural Philanthropists: Findings of the Family Business Philanthropy and Social Responsibility Inquiry’ fills a much needed gap in an area which has been under-researched. The report was prepared for The Community Foundation Network and The Institute of Family Business.
