Grassroots Grants: Current round closes on July 30th

The Grassroots Grants Scheme will close on July 30th and if successful grantees will receive their grant in late September 2010. Interested Community and Voluntary groups can now check if their project qualifies and submit their application online.

New Guide launched for community groups

The Foundation's sister organisation, Business in the Community Ireland has launched a great new resource for community groups. On Monday, May 17th, Pat Carey T.D., Minister at the Department of Community, Equality And Rural Affairs  launched an innovative new guide entitled, “Communities and Business Working Together” at an event in the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin. The guide, published by non-profit organisation Business in the Community Ireland and sponsored by Diageo Ireland and Ulster Bank, aims to help community and voluntary groups work with businesses in Ireland to achieve sustainable community development.

Ireland’s First Women’s Fund Launched at Landmark Symposium on Women in Philanthropy

To coincide with a landmark Symposium on Women in Philanthropy, which was held in Dublin today (Wednesday April 14th, 2010), The Community Foundation for Ireland launched the first ever Women’s Fund for Ireland. The Fund, which is dedicated solely to supporting women’s causes, is the first of its kind in Ireland.
